Sexual Assault Awareness Week 2026

This week is Carleton University’s annual Sexual Assault Awareness Week, running until Friday, January 30, 2026. The week is an opportunity to educate and raise awareness on the impacts of sexual violence on campus and demonstrate a community of care for survivors at Carleton. Through impactful events and safe spaces, Carleton aims to educate the community on the effects of sexual violence and foster a caring community.

 

Important Dates

Saturday, January 31, 2026: Last day to withdraw from full winter and the winter portion of fall/winter courses with a full fee adjustment (financial withdrawal).

 

Green Square Campaign

Carleton is observing the Green Square Campaign, honouring the victims of the 2017 Quebec City mosque attack, this week from Monday, January 26 to Friday, January 30, 2026. The entrance bridge and Richcraft Hall tunnel will be illuminated in green on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Green squares representing unity against Islamophobia are available at the Student Experience Office and the prayer room in 225 Nideyinàn.

Winter Career & Networking Fair

The Winter Career & Networking Fair on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. is a great opportunity to connect with hiring employers from a range of industries. Visit the fair and get a head start on your career this winter by networking with over 50 employers.

ACT: Career Support for Students with Disabilities

Through Accessible Career Transitions (ACT), Career Services offers specialized career-readiness programming for students who identify as having a disability.

 

Group Mentorship with First Year Connections

The First Year Connections (FYC) mentorship team is offering group mentorship to all students at Carleton this winter! Join their next session for a guided discussion on priorities, time management and stress relief on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in 4040 Nicol Building. Light refreshments and resources will be provided. Visit the Student Experience Office website to register.

 

Join the GO-ISSO: Winterlude: Rideau Canal Skateway

Skate on the world’s largest, naturally frozen skating rink, the Rideau Canal, with the Global Opportunities and International Student Services Office (GO-ISSO) on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from noon to 2:00 p.m. Students can borrow skates from the GO-ISSO—until quantities/sizes are gone—or rent skates, helmets and other accessories from kiosks on the canal. Please register for this event on the GO-ISSO website.

Explore how generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) can support—without replacing—your learning with an in-person session with the Centre for Student Academic Support (CSAS) on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please register for this event on mySuccess.
