Welcome to the Penn International Family! The Office of New Student Orientation & Academic Initiatives (NSOAI) would like to officially congratulate you on your admission to the University of Pennsylvania! New Student Orientation (NSO) for all incoming first-year undergraduate students will begin with mandatory activities on the evening of Wednesday, August 19. In addition, as an international student, you will be participating in International Student Orientation starting on Monday, August 17, which will prepare you for your exciting transition to Penn and college life this fall. More information about International Student Orientation is coming soon! Throughout the summer, we will send several email reminders so you're always aware of what's coming up. This programming is hosted in partnership with Penn Global’s International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) office who provides immigration services and integration programming to the Penn international community, and the Assembly of International Students (AIS) which is the University’s student-led umbrella organization for undergraduates of global backgrounds. Move-InAll international students are welcome to move in on Monday, August 17. By moving in on Monday, you will be able to take part in International Student Orientation programming specifically designed to prepare you to thrive in the upcoming years. You are invited to attend the International Student Welcome Picnic at 5:30 P.M. that evening. The picnic will be a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow international students, connect with the Penn community, and begin your Penn experience in a welcoming and relaxed setting after you have settled in following move-in. Once you have confirmed your housing, you will be able to select a move-in time slot for August 17. Specific questions about housing can be directed to living@upenn.edu.
