ANZA Soccer - Season ExtendedDear ANZA Soccer Parents, Welcome back! We hope you all had an enjoyable and relaxing break. We are looking forward to seeing our players, coaches and volunteers back on the pitches this Saturday 15 January! Season ExtendedThe ANZA Soccer Committee have confirmed that the current season will be extended to make up sessions that were postponed due to government restrictions. The season will be extended by 7 weeks, ending on Saturday June 11 2022. The season extension applies to both our Saturday program (including General Training) and our weekday Competition Teams training. That means we have another 21 weeks of ANZA Soccer still to play this season! You can view the updated calendar here. If your school or community will welcome new families in early 2022, please do spread the word about ANZA Soccer and encourage anyone interested to sign-up or contact the office to arrange a trial in January! Sunday Competition LeagueJSSL is planning a multi-division 4 vs 4 League in which our Competition Teams’ players will participate. This League will start earliest from February 6, subject to government approval & restrictions. Once approved by the government, we will be able to provide more details such as the schedule, any restrictions around vaccination & testing, and which age-groups will (initially) be included in the League. Note: as we enter the new year, JSSL has moved the age bands with a year and ANZA Soccer has followed them, so a B6 player before Christmas is now a B7 player, etc.. Join The Volunteer CommunityWe will be looking for new coaches and parent volunteers to help fill the gaps created by families that moved back home or to new postings at the end of last year. All parents are encouraged to volunteer. As always, sessions can only run if enough volunteer coaches and safe-management officers are available. Best regards, Reminders and Helpful Information:Weekday trainings will continue on the usual schedule
