In relation to trade, NOAA says the USA will prioritise ‘fair seafood trade’ by “combating IUU fishing and related harmful fishing practices around the world and by expanding access to foreign markets for U.S. seafood.” Read the short document here. 🐚 Austrade: Abalone export successAustrade is featuring a case study about the world-first abalone ranch set up by Rare Foods 🦐 India: Seafood exports to reach all-time highAccording to India’s Business Outreach website, “In 2021-22, India exported 13,69,264 tonnes of marine goods worth US$ 7.76 billion (Rs 575.86 billion), an all-time record in terms of value, while shrimp output exceeded one million MT.
