Did You Know..? That the venue for PCP Gala can only hold 150 people? Order those tickets as soon as possible! The dance is Thursday, April 6th. Tickets are $32 for PCP faculty/staff and students and $64 for guests. Ticket includes dinner, dancing and 3 drink tickets (beer/wine/soft drinks). There will be a photo booth and prizes! The Remington Clinical Competition! PCP-APhA and PPA will be hosting a jeopardy themed clinical competition, sponsored by Pyrls, on 3/30 from 1 to 3pm. The game will be played in teams of 3. First place team gets $50 gift card for each member, second and third place team gets $25 gift card for each member! We will also be raffling off 10 of $20 gift cards for anyone present at the event with a Pyrls account. We will also provide food and snacks at the event! PCP Student Council Meetings! Save the dates! PCP Student Council will be meeting Tuesday, March 21 at 6 pm in Griffith A. Our last meeting date has been changed to Thursday, April 27 at 6 pm in Griffith A. These meetings are open to all students so we hope to see you there! Required Class Meetings for P1, P2 and P3 Pharmacy Students! Students should have gotten a google evite to attend their respective class meetings (4/4 at 2PM for P1, 4/11 at 2PM for P3 and 4/13 at 1PM for P2). Students are expected to attend. In the unusual situation that an excused absence is being requested - submit your request HERE. With the exception of illness, all requests must be made within TWO weeks of the scheduled meeting. CVS Health Minority Scholarship for Pharmacy Students Application Open! The CVS Health Minority Scholarship for Pharmacy Students will be awarded to five outstanding underrepresented minority (URM) students enrolled in the pharmacy program. Clinical Diversity Speaker Panel! UMR, SNPhA, and BSU are happy to announce their clinical diversity speaker panel on Wednesday, April 5th from 6-8PM at STC 145. The speakers are Brandon Garcia, Hajar Mokhlis, Fidelia Bernice, and Taylor Jones. There will be raffle, prizes, and food! The goal of this panel is to talk about health literacy and representation in healthcare. RSVP is required to attend at this link and we will be accepting the first 50 RSVPs by March 29th. Volunteer Opportunity: Metastatic Breast Cancer Conference! Come and get an oncology experience at a Metastatic Breast Cancer Conference in Philadelphia. Volunteers are needed April 28th, April 29th, and April 30th. During this event, volunteers will greet attendees, assist with phone applications used during the event, and give out gifts (bras) to attendees. Penn Medicine Pharmacy internship opportunities! Penn Presbyterian Medical Center has exciting opportunity for inpatient pharmacy internship for pharmacy students. Under the direct supervision of Registered Pharmacists, the Pharmacy Intern is responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks: assisting in the preparing and filling of medication orders and medication carts; compounding sterile and non-sterile preparation; distributing medication to patients; performing nursing unit QA inspections; maintaining stock levels in all areas of the hospital and running various automations including dispensing robots.
