From Rutherglen Visitor Information CentreHello everyone, At the Information Centre we were happy to say farewell to a very quiet February and welcome March with open arms. March is looking very busy with plenty of activities including Tastes of Rutherglen, Tastes of Art Show, Rutherglen Ballroom Festival, Rutherglen Reimagined along with regular monthly activities. We welcomed a new volunteer at the end of February, Michele Sadlowski. Michele is going to help when she can as she also volunteers at Corowa Federation Museum and Corowa Revamp Op Shop. The weather was wonderful, bringing loads of visitors who enjoyed great music and an all-around vibrant atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a success. This week we welcomed back Jen Littlechild at Visitor Information Centre - please drop by and say hello. While the Chiltern Goods Shed is closed until further notice, if your visitors are looking for a piece of history to view in Chiltern, why not check out the Old Police Lock Up? The Lock Up offers a fascinating glimpse into colonial crime and justice history. The cells, which opened in 1874, are available to explore. Simply visit the Chiltern Visitor Information Centre to borrow the key when doing the Rex Fuge walk.
