No images? Click here Hello! We hope you're enjoying the longer days Spring brings and are keeping our fingers crossed for the arrival of summer! On Monday 17th June, we will be joining children’s hospices across the country to celebrate Children’s Hospice Week – we’d love you to join us in raising awareness about the vital services we provide. Throughout #childrenshospiceweek we will be sharing lots of information around Long-Term Ventilation (LTV). This is when respiratory support is provided every day for at least three months, either via a tube, face mask or through the nose. It’s thanks to you our expert care team is able to be by their side. Keep an eye on our website and social media to see the difference your support is making – and please share far and wide with friends and family! Together, we can continue to champion the vital work of children’s hospices and give families the care and support they need, for as long as they need it. What’s it like to be an LTV nurse? Meet Rachel and Tina, two key members of our care team, both specialising in LTV. Find out more about this role within our hospices and community settings. “When we set up our long-term ventilation team, I don’t think there was another children’s hospice in the country that had such a thing. EACH ensures staff are upskilled to deliver care of the highest quality and I feel proud to work for a service that aims to lead the way in children’s hospice care.” – Rachel, EACH Clinical Nurse Specialist. Are you looking for a summer family activity? Help us make every moment count for children and young people by taking on our Summer Family Challenge. Take on six family-friendly challenges over the six weeks of the summer holidays and raise £60 to help us support families each and every step of the way. You’ll receive a list of challenges to choose from, a fundraising pack with tips and information, and we’ll automatically set up an online giving page for you to share with family and friends. By having fun with your family over the holidays you’ll be helping us support families to do the same. Could you lend a hand at our summer events? Could you spare some time to join dedicated volunteers like Don and Rosie to help our events run smoothly? We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can help at our EACH events. Whether it’s enjoying the fun and mud at our Suffolk Piglet, Junior Hog event, or the coloured foam at Newmarket Bubble Rush, we need marshals to help these events take place, or support with one of our many fundraising stalls at events across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
