APhA - Lunch and Learn with CVS

APhA is having a Lunch and Learn event with CVS on April 10th from 1:30-2:30 pm in room 337 in STC. This is a great opportunity to learn about the different opportunities CVS offers for its students such as residency, fellowships and post graduation positions. CVS will also be providing hoagies for this event. Please RSVP using the barcode on the flyer before April 7th at 11:59 pm. Celebrating Women's History Month - First Woman Pharmacist Graduate and PCP Alum!

Susan Hayhurst was the first woman to graduate with a degree in pharmacy in the United States, from none other than the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. Susan Hayhurst worked for over 30 years at the Woman's Hospital of Philadelphia, a pharmacy where at the time was one of the only places for women to train to become a pharmacist. Check out the infographic created by P4 Colleen Huzinec, and click here to read an article published in 1911 describing Susan Hayhurst's memorial service to learn more about her life and accomplishments (page 32 - 39). 03/27

Brief, Online Geriatric Education Research Survey - Participants Needed!

Hello everyone! We are conducting a research project exploring the challenges of geriatric medicine in the current healthcare system. Based on the responses to this survey, we will be able to evaluate which group of students might benefit from additional geriatric training to improve the delivery of care to this patient population. We are inviting you to participate in a brief 10-15 minute, anonymous, voluntary online survey to gain insight into this topic. Your perspectives as future healthcare professionals are crucial to our understanding of the education provided in curriculums to adequately address the evolving needs of older adults. Check your email from 3/26 for a link to the UCity Student Survey (also included here) where you can share your input on what kind of food you would like to see offered in the new coffee cafe being built in Woodland, what equipment you are hoping to use in the fitness center, and what kind of outdoor recreation programming you would participate in. SEPTA construction project on 42nd St starts soon!

Alert to anyone who uses 42nd Street to access the UCity campus! SEPTA is starting a trolley track renewal project on 42nd Street between Spruce and Woodland, which will begin March 17th with rail welding and last through the end of May.
