ABS National Study of Mental Health and Wellbeing, 2020-21

The latest survey was conducted between December 2020 and July 2021. It provides an update from the last survey conducted in 2007 on lifetime and 12 month prevalence of mental disorders, suicidal behaviours and information on service use.

AIHW National Suicide and Self-harm Monitoring System 

The latest analysis and data release occurred on 26 July 2022 and included updates on intentional self-harm hospitalisations and ambulance attendances; analysis of income uncertainty and suicide; final evaluation report of the National Suicide and Self-harm Monitoring System; and the Primary Health Network consultation report.

Research study recruitment: Personality and suicidal behaviour

Griffith University is seeking participants (aged 18+ years) to complete an anonymous 20-30 minute survey, and enter the draw to win one of three $50 Coles Myer gift cards. The survey will involve questions about self-control, impulsivity, perceived stress, and suicide behaviours and thoughts.

Research study recruitment: Social media and internet use

Researchers from the University of Southern Queensland are seeking participants with a lived experience of suicidal thoughts and/or behaviours in the last six months (aged 18+ years) to complete an online survey. The study is seeking to explore the use of the internet and social media for suicide-related reasons.
