New Reefwise funding announced for Mackay Whitsunday growers 

Expressions of interest now open

Reef Catchments, together with leading agronomy and industry partners, is supporting cane growers to enhance nutrient, pesticide, and irrigation management while maintaining or improving productivity and profitability. Through the program, landholders receive agronomic and technical guidance, along with financial incentives, to help overcome barriers to change.

Expression of interest open for Proserpine growers to construct sediment basins and water reuse structures

This project will support efficient on-farm water use through the construction of small-scale treatment systems that capture and reuse agricultural runoff for irrigation.

Chemical Usage Restrictions

For the Mackay region, there are a number of Diuron products that have commenced a closed spray window period for use from 1 November to 30 April.
