Join Council’s Sustainability and Resilience team for an engaging session on sustainability and climate change. Discover simple actions actions you can take to save money, reduce your environmental impact, and how to prepapre for extreme weather events. There will be activities, prizes, and giveaways, so register now to avoid missing out!

You can choose to attend this session on its own or stay on for a Falls Prevention session immediately afterwards.

Australia’s First National Climate Risk Assessment released

The Federal Government has released Australia’s first National Climate Risk Assessment, outlining 63 major climate risks likely to affect communities across the country - including Lane Cove.

Key national risks include:

  • Changes in temperatures, including extremes
  • Rising sea levels
  • Loss of important ecosystems and species
  • Strain on infrastructure and services
