CANTERBURY GOLF LAUNCH NEW WEBSITE
Canterbury Golf is excited to share our brand new website. Over recent months we have been designing and building this website to improve the way we promote our clubs, administer our interclub and event delivery, and communicate with everyone around what Canterbury Golf does and the programmes we have in place.
New features include an improved Club Finder page which showcase all of the unique services or facilities that each club provides, a new District Calendar with Golf Genius integration as well as an improved news feed and social media integration.

MEN'S INTERCLUB FINALS DAY
It was a typically thrilling Men's Finals Day played at Avondale Golf Club in mid-November showcasing the high quality and passion of interclub golf in the region. The respective winners for each division was as follows:
Woodward Cup - Clearwater | Blank Cup - Avondale | Simon Cup - Russley
Thompson MacDonald Trophy - Harewood
RUSSLEY CLAIM 2024 POLLOCK CUP TITLE
The 2024 Pollock Cup Finals Day took place in late November with a modified finals day format that saw both the semi-final round and the final played on the same day.
2024 NZ INTERPROVINCIAL
December saw the region host the premier NZ representative golf event, with both our Canterbury Men’s and Women’s teams managing to qualify for the semi-finals of their respective tournaments, unfortunately however both were unable to progress to the final. Nonetheless, it was a quality week of Rep Golf action that both the Russley Golf Club and Harewood Golf Club hosted admirably with both courses in great order and with the added spectator seating on offer at Russley there was a great atmosphere for the healthy crowds in attendance to enjoy. 2024 NZ FREYBERG MASTERS
The 2024 edition of the NZ Freyberg Masters tournament was played back in mid-November in Invercargill with the country's best men’s masters players doing battle in the annual event. Our men managed a podium finish after a strong end to the week, read the full overview below.
2025 CANTERBURY AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2025 edition of the Canterbury Age Group Championships took place at Russley on the 20th & 21st of January with 60 players from across the South Island turning out to compete for the premier junior titles across the u19, u16, and u13 age groups. Coinciding with a Golf NZ South Island Talent Development camp directly after the event meant several high-level players from various regions made the trip alongside a healthy number of Canterbury-based players.
