Last pānui I indicated that we intended to host an online wānanga to discuss pressing issues in the sector. Below is an invitation to register for the wānanga and contribute suggestions for the agenda. Please be proactive and register early and don’t be shy in suggesting kaupapa for discussion. While we can’t guarantee we will have time to explore every issue in the wānanga, it is important that we clearly understand the issues that are impacting you and our wider community.

These are challenging times and we are all constantly adapting our processes and behaviours. We are also reminded that we need be consistent in the way we do things and how important it is to manage and mitigate risks.

Over the next few months, we will be reminding you all of the values we aspire to and how we strive to work with our partners to keep everyone safe. It is especially important that we all understand and accept the reciprocal obligations of our funding arrangements.

Kia haumaru ai te noho i tēnei nā wā rerekē. Mauriora!

Larry Parr,
Kaihautū o Te Māngai Pāho

You're invited to join us for our sector-wide wānanga

Ko te reo pōhiri tēnei a Te Māngai Pāho e pāho atu nei ki a koutou, kei aku rangatira.

You are invited to join us via Zoom for a wānanga on Thursday 25 Whiringa-ā-Rangi from 4:00pm to discuss the state of the sector and what our priorities are for the next financial year.

Register now

Why are we hosting this wānanga?
We want to hear your first hand experiences of the challenges you have faced with the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and the state of the sector. We know the past few months have been a challenge for productions, and we want to hear your thoughts on recovery and what support you may need in order to complete your current and future projects.

We are also working on drafting our funding calendar for the 2022-23 financial year, and we want your input in this planning. What funding rounds do you want to see? Are we missing any content in the current landscape? It is important that Te Māngai Pāho receive this input and feedback before we develop and publish the funding calendar.

Register before 19 Whiringa-ā-Rangi to have a say on other agenda items for this wānanga. We will also facilitate a Q&A session towards the end of the hui, where you'll be able to ask your questions and hear from others in the sector.

Where:
This wānanga will be held online on Zoom. However if you can, we encourage you to get together and use this as a chance to connect with those working in the sector near you.
Please register individually, even if you join together as a group.

Agenda:
We will publish the agenda closer to the date with your input. Key items will be the state of the sector and any support required, Te Māngai Pāho funding calendar for 2022-23 and a Q&A session.

We hope to wrap up the ‘business’ part of the wānanga by 6:00pm and invite you to stay online to catch up and kōrero more informally.

Register for the wānanga now

Te Pūahatanga version update

We're excited to be launching version two of our funding platform Te Pūahatanga on Thursday 18 o Whiringa-ā-Rangi | November 2021.

What does this mean for you?
On Thursday afternoon, the Te Pūahatanga site will be down for approximately one hour while the upgrade takes place. Once the platform is back online, logging in for the first time will look a little different, but a short tour will guide you through the key changes to your dashboard. All your details, milestones, payments and contracts will still be available to you. More details to follow in a special Te Pūahatanga pānui next week to help get you familiar with the new look and feel of Te Pūahatanga 2.0.

If you have any questions, please email us at support@tmp.govt.nz.
