Event Spotlight: Penn Traditions: Highball to Hey Day CarnivalCollege Green | 8:30pm-10:30pm Are you ready to learn all of Penn’s most exciting traditions? Prepare for your time at Penn and beyond as Penn Traditions hosts a party with games, food, prizes, and fun! Learn Penn songs, preview events for each year on campus, get your class pennant, snap a selfie with the Quaker, and sign your class banner at our outdoor carnival on Thursday, August 25! Today's CalendarWelcome To Penn & PHINS Orientation Group Activities [M]Irvine Auditorium & Various Locations | 10am-3pm Welcome Session includes speakers from Public Safety, Campus Health, PVP, & CHAS. PHINS Orientation Group Meet-up for intros, brunch, and a campus tour. Students will receive their NSO wristbands at the Welcome Session in Irvine Auditorium. Comedy NightIrvine Auditorium | 10:30pm-12am Enjoy an evening of laughs with professional stand-up comedians. First come, first served. NSO wristbands are required for admission. West Philly & University City ToursWest Philadelphia and University City: Along with the Penn Campus, your new Penn home includes the West Philadelphia and University City areas! We encourage all first year students to take a tour of one of these areas on Friday, August 26 so that you can get familiar with the surrounding area around campus and your new community! Please make sure to doublecheck your Penn Violence Prevention (PVP) circle time on mynsoschedule.com so that you don't sign up for a tour during that time. We encourage sign ups in advance to ensure enough tour guides but we will welcome first years to join us the day of as well. Dining Café Hours For Thursday, August 25 Dining café hours throughout the week of NSO can be viewed through the Penn Dining website here. Dining swipes on your PennCard can be used at the Dining cafés. Dining café options for today include: McClelland Sushi & Market, Lauder College House, English House, Falk at Penn Hillel, Hill House, and 1920 Commons. TAP Phase Two is Live!TAP Phase Two is officially live! You will not be required to complete a quiz during this phase of TAP. However, this content must be reviewed prior to your mandatory in-person PHINS Orientation Group Meet-Ups and NSO programming where attendance will be taken. Failure to attend these small group activities could result in a registration hold being placed on your student record. Daily Rewind - Wednesday 8/24Here’s a quick review of events from yesterday! First-Year Students moved in across campus for the last day of first-year move-in. Hub@Penn Expo was another big success, as organizations at Penn gathered at Houston Hall to introduce their resources to the incoming students and their families. Students gathered on College Green to hear from President MaGill and enjoy a grab-and-go dinner. Connect with NSOAI!
