NSO Calendar

Hello Class of 2026!

We hope you have been enjoying our New Student Orientation (NSO) activities! Below you'll find more information about today's events. Events marked [M] are mandatory.

For today’s weather, we're expecting a mostly sunny and hot forecast again, with a high of 93 degrees. Stay hydrated, and stop by our Peers Helping Integrate New Students (PHINS) hospitality booths!

If you have any questions or would like more information about any of the NSO programs, look for our well-trained volunteers, the PHINS, all around campus in light blue and dark blue t-shirts, visit www.nso.upenn.edu or email us provost-nso-ai@pobox.upenn.edu.

University City

West Philly & University City Tours

West Philadelphia and University City: Along with the Penn Campus, your new Penn home includes the West Philadelphia and University City areas! We encourage all first year students to take a tour of one of these areas on Friday, August 26 so that you can get familiar with the surrounding area around campus and your new community! Please make sure to doublecheck your Penn Violence Prevention (PVP) circle time on mynsoschedule.com so that you don't sign up for a tour during that time. We encourage sign ups in advance to ensure enough tour guides but we will welcome first years to join us the day of as well.

Sign Up for West Philly & University City Tours!

Students moving-in

Daily Rewind - Wednesday 8/24

Here’s a quick review of events from yesterday!

First-Year Students moved in across campus for the last day of first-year move-in.

Hub@Penn Expo was another big success, as organizations at Penn gathered at Houston Hall to introduce their resources to the incoming students and their families.

Students gathered on College Green to hear from President MaGill and enjoy a grab-and-go dinner.
