Colorado Milestones to National Momentum—See What’s New at Blueprint No images? Click here Expanding ImpactMarch 2026IN THIS ISSUEFEATURED HIGHLIGHTS OUR PEOPLE Dear Friends and Partners, March has been a month of momentum and reflection across the Blueprint community — including a look at our first year in Colorado, where schools are already moving from planning to construction and creating new permanent spaces for more than 1,500 students. Across the country, we’re also celebrating meaningful milestones and partnerships. In California, Valor Elementary has opened its new permanent home in the San Fernando Valley, strengthening Bright Star Schools’ K–12 pathway. In Washington and Texas, schools are reaching key moments—from acquisitions to certificates of occupancy—bringing long-term stability to the communities they serve. I also had the opportunity to join the Charter Connect podcast this month to share more about Blueprint’s approach to facilities and the importance of long-term solutions for schools. Thank you for being part of the Blueprint community and for helping make this work possible. Warmly, John Sun, CEO FEATUREDOne Year in ColoradoOne year after launching in Colorado, Blueprint is already helping charter schools move from vision to construction, advancing permanent facilities that will serve more than 1,500 new students statewide. Since entering the region in early 2025, Blueprint has partnered with four schools—supporting new construction in Aurora, renovations in Fort Collins and Fairplay, and a full campus transformation in Colorado Springs. These projects address one of the sector’s biggest barriers: access to high-quality, financially sustainable facilities. By aligning each project with a school’s long-term growth and community needs, Blueprint is helping replace temporary spaces with lasting solutions. Backed by strong philanthropic and local partnerships, this work is laying the foundation for more stable schools and stronger student outcomes across Colorado. HIGHLIGHTSHigh Rockies Hosts Ribbon CuttingA barn transformed into a vibrant place for learning and community We were honored to join High Rockies Community School in Fairplay, Colorado to celebrate the ribbon cutting of their newly converted space—once a barn, now a home for students, educators, and the broader community. Projects like this reflect what’s possible when creativity, commitment, and community come together. This microschool is a powerful example of how thoughtful spaces can expand access to high-quality learning in rural communities. We’re grateful to have supported High Rockies on this journey and to have our Colorado Executive Director, Joy Griffin, there to celebrate alongside their team and partners. Valor Elementary School Opens Permanent HomeValor Elementary School, delivered in December 2025, stands as a powerful example of what’s possible when mission-aligned partners come together to create lasting impact for students and families. Developed in partnership with Bright Star Schools, Berliner Architects, and Oltmans Construction—recently recognized with a Commercial Real Estate Award from the Los Angeles Business Journal—the new campus provides a permanent home for 500 elementary students in the San Fernando Valley. Located just one mile from Bright Star’s middle school campus, Valor strengthens an established K–12 pathway while remaining deeply connected to its community. The thoughtfully designed, two-story campus features 27 classrooms, a multi-purpose building, outdoor play areas, and improved circulation for safe pick-up and drop-off. The project also preserves and repurposes a historic on-site home for school administration—blending modern learning environments with neighborhood character. Impact Public School Purchases Salish Sea ElementaryWe’re excited to celebrate Impact Public Schools on their successful purchase of the Impact | Salish Sea Elementary campus. This milestone reflects the power of strong leadership, thoughtful stewardship, and mission-aligned partnership. With this purchase, Impact is expected to secure more predictable long-term facilities costs — freeing up critical resources to invest back into students and school growth. Blueprint was proud to partner on this effort alongside Equitable Facilities Fund and Charter School Growth Fund. It’s inspiring to see what’s possible when organizations come together around a shared commitment to students and communities. Congratulations to the Impact team on this meaningful achievement! Fort Worth STEAM Academy receives CofOFort Worth STEAM Academy is one step closer to opening its doors. Blueprint has been honored to support three of the newly authorized charter schools in Texas, including Fort Worth STEAM Academy. Our team partnered with the school on an early feasibility study and site search to help identify a location that could support their long-term vision. We’re excited to share that the school has now received its Certificate of Occupancy, marking a major milestone as they prepare to welcome students to their new campus for the 2026–27 school year. Congratulations to the Fort Worth STEAM Academy team on reaching this important step. We’re proud to be part of the journey and look forward to seeing the impact this new school will have for students and families in the community.
