Match Tea Making Workshop

Experience the spirit of Chado (The Japanese Way of Tea), learn about the unique health benefits of tea and mindful living. You will learn about cultivation & production, health benefits and how to make a bowl of tea using traditional tools and techniques. All tea and tools necessary for the experience will be provided on the night. Cost: $15.

Beamafilm is Australia's leading streaming channel for independent features. hoopla is a digital media service that allows you to borrow movies, music and more.

Movies @the library: Breathe

Enjoy a movie amongst the books at Waverley Library. Robin Cavendish has his whole life ahead of him when he is paralysed by polio while in Africa and given just months to live. Robin’s wife Diana brings him home from hospital where her devotion and witty determination inspire him to lead a long and fulfilled life.

Tech Savvy Seniors: Introduction to Computers

Join one of our training sessions where you can learn how to get online and build your digital skills. This workshop will walk you first through the basics of what a computer is, what its components are and how to use a mouse and keyboard. Tech Savvy Seniors NSW is a partnership between the NSW Government, the State Library of NSW and Telstra.

Author Talk: Gabriella Kovak on Georgina: Holocaust Memoirs

December 1944 whilst heavy snows fall over Budapest and soldiers battle for the streets, Georgina a young Jewish woman, is nearly starving to death with her new born son. The battle outside is one of the most savage in the entire war. She knows that to go into the streets is virtually a death sentence. For Georgina there is no choice.

Welcome to this culinary extravaganza - a fun, informal, hands-on cooking class. Each class will be dedicated to one of the world's cuisines. Together in our next class we will be cooking Chinese Fried Rice popular in Greater China and around the world.

Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Culture Club

During our next session we will discuss books, films and art by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. We will talk about history and culture and promote learning and understanding of Australia's First Nations People.

Literary mocktails are book-themed, alcohol-free drinks, inspired by well-known literary works. The Drug Info team are celebrating summer with a refreshing new mocktail. Titled Fraise in the Sun, the mocktail is a play on Neville Cardus’ cricketing classic Days in the Sun, and is a blend of strawberry, apple and ginger.
