Intended programme: week commencing 9 June 2024
People travelling between Baypark and Bayfair will continue to see several overnight road and lane closures, and associated detours. Closures and detours will vary night to night, depending on site requirements and progress, and people are asked to allow extra time, follow signposted detours and drive with caution through the project site.
From Friday 7 June to Sunday 9 June (from approximately 7pm to 5am each night), Maunganui Road northbound (from SH2/SH29A Te Maunga interchange to Bayfair roundabout) will be closed. For SH2 traffic a signposted detour will be available via SH2/Bayfair flyover and the Golf Road roundabout. For SH29A traffic wishing to access the Bayfair and Matapihi area a detour will be available via SH2 Sandhurst interchange, SH2 Bayfair flyover and the Golf Road roundabout.
From Monday 10 June to Tuesday 11 June (from approximately 7pm to 5am each night), a lane closure will apply on Maunganui Road northbound between SH2/SH29A Te Maunga interchange and Bayfair roundabout.
On Wednesday 12 June (from approximately 8pm to 5am), a road closure will apply on Maunganui Road southbound (from Concord Avenue to Bayfair roundabout). A signposted detour will be available via Concord Avenue, Oceanbeach Road and Girven Road.
On Thursday 13 June (between approximately 7pm and 5am each night):

Tauranga Eastern Link will be closed underneath Sandhurst interchange. A signposted detour will be available via the Sandhurst offramp, interchange and onramp.

Bayfair roundabout will be closed between Matapihi Road and Girven Road. A signposted detour will be available via Maunganui Road northbound, Golf Road roundabout and Maunganui Road southbound.
