COVID-19 Update (10) for Residents and Families at Calvary The Brelsford

I am writing to inform you that no additional COVID-19 cases have been identified across the residents at Calvary The Brelsford since our last update to you.

As per our previous communication to you, residents in our Sapphire, Emerald and Pearl Units are no longer isolated to their rooms and may now move freely within their environment. Our COVID positive resident in Emerald will remain, and be cared for in their room until the Public Health Unit deems it safe to lift the current restrictions.

Calvary would like to confirm that, sadly three (3) residents have passed away at Calvary The Brelsford since the beginning of this latest outbreak. These fully vaccinated residents were in their end of life phase before testing positive for COVID-19. Our thoughts are with the family, our residents and staff.

We are liaising closely with the Public Health Unit, and will update you as soon as we have any further information. Our staff are in contact with the families of the COVID positive residents and are keeping them informed

We anticipate our next update to Calvary Brelsford residents and families will be in a few days unless there are changes or updates that need to be communicated before then.

In the meantime, Calvary The Brelsford remains closed to all visitors.

Visitor exceptions may be made for end of life visits.  Please speak to your home manager in relation to visitation.
