Gardens Illustrated feature

We were very pleased to be featured in, not one, but two articles in Gardens Illustrated this month. Our Brand Ambassador, Martin Hughes-Games, wrote an feature on how to keep your bird feeders clean, and Finches Friend were listed first in their "Best Feeders of 2022" review. We also had coverage in Birdwatching Magazine in an article on how we're trying to beat disease.

DRINKER INTRO

To reverse wild bird disease, we need to keep both food and water sources clean, dry, and separate, to break the 'feet and faeces' cycle. So, we have developed a new product - our Cleaner Drinker. It is currently in the prototype stage and being tested, but we are very proud to give you a sneak peek. Be sure to watch this space, we will release more info soon.

BOOK WINNERS

Thanks to everyone who entered our book competition. Our favourite photo came from William Turner. He developed a unique hanging pole system to deliver the optimum results for our Cleaner Feeder 4.

CUSTOMER TOP TIP
Sunflower Hearts Deter Starlings

“We've a lot of starlings around and they can be a bit of a nuisance. After putting up our Cleaner Feeder, and filling half with sunflower hearts and half with a seed mix, we noticed the starlings tended to eat the mix and ignore the hearts. We then tried filling both sides with sunflower hearts and the starlings left the feeder alone completely. During fledgling season, a few started to use the feeders again, as I guess the chicks aren’t as picky, but it quietened down again afterwards.”

We want to convey a huge thank you to all the customers who committed to trialing our window feeder. We'll be sending out a feedback survey to everyone involved soon. We will use all the responses to develop and prepare the window feeder for its official launch.
