Friday, August 26 | Arrival times run from 8am to 5pm
Saturday, August 27 | Arrival times run from 8am to 5pm
Sunday, August 28 | Arrival times run from 8am to 5pm Safe travels for those moving in today! Check out this campus map for information about parking garages and street directions. In case you need to change your arrival time due to unforeseen travel challenges, please email living@upenn.edu with any concerns. We can't wait to see you on campus soon!
Second-Year Orientation (SYO)
Programs will run from Sunday, August 28 through Friday, September 2
We can't wait to celebrate the Class of 2025! We are coordinating programs tailored to your class's wants and needs. These programs will provide a way to enrich your connection to the Penn Community, the city of Philadelphia, and to your fellow classmates. Programs will occur from Sunday, August 28 through Friday, September 2. There will be an opportunity to take part in many special events for the Class of 2025.
Second-Year Preceptorials
Penn Preceptorials are one-time, not-for-credit sessions that introduce students to the intellectual and cultural resources of the University. On Monday, August 29 from 11am-2pm, we are offering SYO Preceptorials just for you! Check out our offerings and be sure to sign up soon!
Second-Year PennTracks Tours and
West Philly & University City Tours
You might be familiar with Penn's campus, but we encourage you to explore the many neighborhoods of Philadelphia! PennTracks Tours are free guided tours led by our PHINS student leaders throughout the city of Philadelphia. On Monday, August 29 from 2-5pm, we are offering SYO PennTracks Tours just for you! Check out our offerings and be sure to sign up soon!
President’s Welcome Back Celebration for the Classes of 2024 & 2025
On Tuesday, August 30 from 5-6:30pm at Penn Commons, mingle with President Liz Magill and enjoy refreshments, live music, giveaways, and more! Registration and a Penn ID are required for entry. No bags permitted. Please RSVP to prespic@pobox.upenn.edu.
Class Board Spikeball Tournament
All skill levels are invited to bump, set, and spike their way to glory as they compete against their fellow Penn classmates! Great food, drinks, and raffle prizes are in store for all players and on-lookers! Join us on Wednesday, August 31 from 6-8pm at Gutmann College House Lawn!
Once classes are underway, we want to make sure that you have access to all of the resources that you need. That's why on Thursday, September 1, from 11am-1pm, we are hosting Second-Year Day, just for you! You can explore Penn resources and services available to second-year students. There will be refreshments and raffle prizes! Second-Year Day kicks off additional optional programming as part of the Second-Year Experience.
Second-Year Experience (SYE)
Throughout the academic year, we are committed to the development of Penn’s Second-Year Experience (SYE) program, which is designed specifically to address the unique needs of second-year students. For campus partners interested in hosting their own event for second-year students, there are marketing opportunities and grants available, up to $500!
