Mauriora! It's been a very busy time for our small team at Te Māngai Pāho. It generally is at this time of the year. In addition to managing two significant funding rounds we have also been finalising the recruitment process for the last of the vacancies in our team. We are very pleased that we once again have a full complement of staff on-board. When I reflect on this time last year we were all coming to grips with a change of government as we prepared to launch the Co-Fund round with NZ On Air. The Co-Fund decisions have just been published and we were very pleased with the calibre of applications. We have also held Stage One of our General Audience round in which we received 80 applications with an aggregate ask of $35 million. Unfortunately there is only $8 million of funding available in the round so there are a number of disappointed applicants. Of those 80 applications 22 were invited to submit full proposals to stage two. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees at the NZTV Awards last week. He mihi maioha ki te tira o Matewa Media hoki, what you achieved with the day and date release of Moana 2 Reo Māori was ground breaking. Finally, a little reminder that our office will close on 20th December and re-open on 13 of January. As is our practice there will be two payment runs in that final week. One on Tuesday 17th December and the second on Thursday 19th December. The first payment run in the New Year will be Thursday 16th January.
