Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident and Family Member,

RE: COVID-19 UPDATE – Update for residents & families of Calvary St Paul’s Retirement Community

We are still waiting on the results of the first round of official PCR testing of Calvary St Paul’s residents. Given the continuing high demand for community testing, we are unable to confirm a timeframe for receiving these results.

As the results come to hand, we will continue to liaise closely with Hunter New England Public Health Unit officials, who will make the decision about whether and when it is safe to re-open Calvary St Paul’s or lift the current restrictions on residents’ movement.

In the meantime, Calvary St Paul’s remains closed for general visitation.

The residents remain well and continue to be cared for in their rooms. We understand that this is a difficult time for our residents and families, and we thank you for your continued support.

Exemptions will be made for special visits for residents receiving end of life care, so please talk with care staff to make specific arrangements. Please do not hesitate to contact the home if you wish to book a video call with your loved one via our WebEx video call service or if you have any concerns.

We will update you again as soon as any information is available.

Thank you again for your continued understanding at this challenging time.

Sincerely,
