Public EV chargers are coming.

• SCP is partnering with businesses and communities to install public charging stations with a grant from the California Energy Commission.
• Over 40 DC fast chargers and 150 Level 2 connectors will be added throughout Sonoma and Mendocino counties.
• They are set to be available for use by the summer of 2023.

All-electric housing units are being built.

• Over 340 new 100% all-electric housing units are under construction in Sonoma and Mendocino counties.
• Housing developments in Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and Fort Bragg used SCP’s construction incentives for high-performance homes.
• These homes feature heat pump water heaters, ultra-high-efficiency heating and cooling systems, and induction cooktops.
• 84% of SCP's incentives are going to low-income housing developments.

Induction anyone?

Feast your eyes (and ears) on this avocado toast video! Cooking on induction has numerous benefits including unmatched temperature control, an easy-to-clean cooking surface, and no excess heat or gas emissions.

Visit our Advanced Energy Center to borrow an induction cooktop and cookware from SCP to try out at home for 2 weeks.

Giving back.

SCP recently joined the Sonoma County Adopt-A-Road program to help protect our waterways and wildlife. Our Agency completed its first clean-up of a mile of road between Forestville and Windsor in March. Together, we collected over 20 bags of roadside litter.
