You're invited to visit the Student Services Fair taking place Tuesday, September 19 and Wednesday, September 20, 2023 to get answers to their questions about supports available on campus related to campus life, wellness (physical and mental health), academics, finances and employability. A Safe and Respectful Panda Game

With the annual Panda game on Sunday, October 1, 2023, it is important to keep ourselves and our community safe. By practicing safer substance use and being a good neighbour, Panda can be a fun, safe and respectful celebration of university sport.

Tuesday, September 19, 2023: Last day to withdraw from early fall courses with a full fee adjustment (financial withdrawal)

The In-Person Fall Career Fair Will Host 70+ Employers: Here's What You Need to Know

Carleton students and alumni are invited to attend the in-person Fall Career Fair on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. To prepare students for the career fair, Career Services is hosting a series of sessions for LinkedIn advice, resume reviews, and networking tips. Read the full post for more information about the Fall Career Fair and Prepare for the Fair sessions!

Fall Term Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS)

The Centre for Student Academic Support (CSAS) offers free, course-specific study sessions known as Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) which facilitates peer-to-peer support in course content and study skills. PASS sessions begin on Monday, September 18, 2023 for the fall term. To see if your course is PASS supported, please check the schedule posted on the CSAS website.

 

Navigating the Canadian Workplace Workshop Series

Looking for a job in Canada? Navigating the Canadian Workspace, starting Tuesday, September 19, 2023, is a workshop series designed to support international students, and students new to Canada, in exploring strategies to finding work and transitioning into the Canadian workplace. Fall I-CUREUS and SaPP Applications are Open

The Future Learning Lab and Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) is offering students the opportunity to participate in undergraduate research or to partner with teaching staff on course design projects. Applications for TLS’ I-CUREUS Internship and the Students as Partners Program (SaPP) are now open for the fall term.

November Graduation

If you have applied to graduate in November, you will have received an application acknowledgement email message from the Registrar's Office. If any of the information listed within the email is incorrect, please contact the Registrar’s Office from your Carleton email account as soon as possible. Read the full post for more information about deadlines to cancel your application to graduate.

 

Financial vs. Academic Withdrawal

If you are registered for a course you do not plan to attend, you must withdraw in Carleton Central (log in through Carleton360) within the published deadlines to cancel your registration. Read the full post to learn more about the differences between financial and academic withdrawal, dates and deadlines to watch and things to consider prior to withdrawing from a course.

Academic Continuation Evaluation

If you were registered and completed courses in the summer 2023 term, you will receive an Academic Continuation Evaluation. These decisions will be posted in Carleton Central for students to view by Tuesday, September 26, 2023. For further information on the Academic Evaluation Process please visit the Registrar’s Office website.

 

Study Spaces on Campus

Looking for a quiet place to prep for classes or a space to collaborate on group work? Scheduling and Examination Services has designated 10 classrooms as Group Study Spaces for student use (available every day from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.). Students can also use the online MacOdrum Library study space booking system to book a study space up to seven days in advance.
