Dear ,

The upcoming election in West Hartford is one of the most important in years — and your voice can help shape its outcome. The deadline for Letters to the Editor in We-Ha.com is Sunday, October 19, and we’re asking supporters like you to take a few minutes this weekend to write and send in a letter backing one or more of our Republican candidates for Town Council or Board of Education.

Your personal message — why you support our team and what you want for West Hartford — can reach hundreds of local readers. Every letter helps inspire others to get informed, get involved, and vote for real change on Row B this November.

📬 Please email your letter to:  editorial@we-ha.com
🕒 Deadline: Sunday, October 19

Below are ideas, themes, and candidate highlights you can use as you write. Feel free to speak from the heart — your words matter most!

Use Our 2025 Republican Platform for a Better West Hartford

Our team of Republican Town Council candidates has built a four-pillar plan to restore balance, transparency, and common sense to our local government:

Governance & Fiscal Responsibility

  • Implement Zero-Based Budgeting so every dollar spent is justified.

  • Hold Quarterly Budget Transparency Workshops for residents.

  • Create a Joint Fiscal Oversight Committee to protect taxpayers.

Education & Accountability

  • Support a Curriculum Oversight Committee for more transparency.

  • Advance a Special Education Insourcing Roadmap to strengthen services.

  • Encourage a Board of Education Finance Committee for fiscal discipline.

Development, Zoning & Housing

  • Enact targeted zoning reforms to encourage homeownership.

  • Launch a Housing Affordability and Homeownership Task Force.

  • Fast-track redevelopment of underperforming parcels.

Infrastructure, Safety & Transportation

  • Increase annual road and sidewalk repairs.

  • Create a Vision Zero Rapid-Response Team for safety hazards.

  • Publish a Road & Sidewalk Condition Dashboard for transparency.
