Thank you to all the parents who have already registered their daughters for the upcoming season! We truly appreciate your support and look forward to another fantastic year of basketball.

For those whose daughters tried out for the West Hartford Magic girls travel team, you should have been informed by now if your daughter has made the team. If your daughter didn’t make the travel team, we highly encourage you to sign her up for our league. It’s a great opportunity to continue developing basketball and leadership skills in a supportive environment.

Please note that regular registration (at the rate of $150) will close at midnight on October 31st (in just 18 days). Late registration will be available from November 1 through November 10, but the fee will increase to $200, so be sure to register now and save!  The registration fees cover uniforms, facility maintenance, practice and game equipment, as well as game officials, insurance and security personnel. 

We kindly ask all coaches from last season to reach out to their teams and team parents to encourage as many return players as possible. After late registration closes on November 10, we will begin putting together teams. We do our best to keep players on the same teams within their division, unless there are scheduling conflicts. Players moving up to a new division will be assigned to new teams.

Here are a few more details regarding team formation:

• New players in the Minors (3rd and 4th grade) and Juniors (5th and 6th grade) divisions will be assigned to teams.
• New players in the Seniors Division will be selected through a coaches draft.
• There will be a player assessment for all new players in the Juniors and Seniors divisions, as well as those moving up from Minors to Juniors or from Juniors to Seniors.

The player assessment is scheduled for Sunday, November 17 at the Sedgwick Middle School, large gymnasium.  The Juniors assessment is scheduled from 11am - 12:30pm and the Seniors assessment is scheduled from 1pm - 2:30pm.

To those who have generously donated to our “Fee Waiver Fund,” thank you for being a hero.
