Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident, Family Member and staff,

Calvary St Judes update for Resident, Families and Staff of Calvary St Judes

Further to our recent update, we are pleased to inform you that we have had further and updated communication from PHU regarding the outbreak at St Judes.

We have been given permission to lift the restrictions in the Boronia and Wattle Units at Calvary St Judes, and visitors will be permitted entry to these units, subject to guidelines.

All Covid positive residents will remain in their room for the 7 day isolation period.

Are visitors allowed?

Calvary St Judes, Boronia and Wattle Units will reopen to visitors from 17/01/22.

One single nominated visitor will be permitted per resident during the home’s visiting hours, due to the heightened risk of infection and community transmission. This will be in place until further notice.

Visitation exceptions may be made for residents receiving end of life care, or who may be experiencing distress, or where a special care and support role is provided. Please speak with the manager of your home to discuss arrangements.

What happens now?

As a precaution, our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We thank residents and families for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time. You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends.

We are also very grateful that families continue to work with us so generously to ensure the safety of your loved ones in our care, and look forward to receiving visitors back into the home.

Sincerely,

Sharon MartindaleGeneral Manager Aged Care
