Temporary changes to making right turns from Halswell Road
Kia ora
We're installing sewer pipes along Halswell Road, on the approach to the Curletts Road/Hoon Hay Road intersection. To do this work safely, from Monday last week, we had to remove the right turn into Hoon Hay Road from Halswell Road.
• Right turns can be made at Lyttelton Street off Lincoln Road.
As we finish work in one place and start in another, there will be more changes:
• Right turns can now be made into Tankerville Road. However, from Monday 10 March, for about 6 weeks, we’ll be back working on Tankerville Road at the intersection and right turns won’t be possible.
During this time (including weekends) there will be no access onto Tankerville Road from Halswell Road and vice versa - please use the signposted detour routes via Rowley Ave/Redgrave Street/Mathers Road.
For more information, please see the works notice.
• We’ll reopen the Rowley Avenue intersection to traffic before closing the Tankerville Road intersection.
These changes are dependent on the weather.
Please look out for information about changes on the advanced warning signs to make planning your journey easier.
Thank you for your patience as our crews work to get as much as possible completed before the winter.
