Pictured: Timothy Hodge Interview with Paralympian Timothy HodgeAppearing at his second Paralympic games in Tokyo, former St Bernadette's Lalor Park and Patrician Brothers Blacktown student, Timothy Hodge took home an outstanding 2 silver medals and a bronze medal from the games. CSNSW Sport had the fantastic opportunity to speak to Tim about his sporting career and how the CSNSW pathway played a role; "The school pathway was where I first experienced competitive swimming, and showed me that I really enjoyed it. Without this start, I don't think I would have had the same motivation to train and compete that would push me to try and make the Australian Paralympic team." When asked what advice he had for any future Olympians and Paralympians coming through our pathway, he said; "make every day count, and to always try and get the most out of every training session... you need to be confident." Former St Joseph's Nyngan student, Jack Hargreaves made his Olympic Games debut in the Men's Rowing Four event. Leading with just 500m to go, Jack, alongside the Aussies; Alexander Purnell, Spencer Turrin and Alexander Hill held on to claim the gold in the Men's Rowing Four's, with Romania coming in second. We are so proud of the achievements made by CSNSW Alumni and their part in writing Australia's story in Tokyo. COVID-19 UpdateWith the current COVID-19 restrictions for Greater Sydney and in the Western region, the CSNSW Sport team and School Sport Unit have had to cancel all Term 3 and Term 4 events. We are conscious that events require travel for a number of families and staff and therefore we wish to provide as much notice as possible. Please note there is also a delay in uniform deliveries as our team is unable to access our warehouse facilities at this time. We thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. Stay safe, stay well.
