Heavy rain and strong winds are impacting parts of the network

Strong winds and heavy rain are impacting Northland, and our maintenance contractors are actively responding to a number of incidents across the state highway network.

Current impacts on the network:
SH1 Rangiahua Bridge (Okaihau) – CLOSED

Flooding has closed SH1 near Okaihau. This leaves SH10 as the only current route north. Please follow directions of response crews in the area. Delay travel where possible and do not drive into flooded areas.
SH10 – OPEN with surface flooding

SH10 remains open, but conditions may change quickly. We are monitoring the situation closely.
SH11 Marsden Rd (Paihia) – CLOSED

SH11 is closed between Williams Rd and Bayview Rd due to coastal inundation. A small local detour is in place via Williams Rd, Selwyn Rd and Bayview Rd.
