Dear General Practitioners,

COVID-19 Update for General Practitioners - Calvary Haydon

I am pleased to inform our General Practitioners that all tested Calvary Haydon residents have received negative results from the latest round of testing.

This means we now are able to lift the restrictions in line with Public Health Unit advice, and visitors will be permitted entry to the home, consistent with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care.

Information and changes for visitors

  • Calvary Haydon will open to visitors from tomorrow, Saturday, 12 February 2022.
  • There is now no limit to the number of visitors allowed per resident, per day. However, social distancing is still required and we ask visitors keep to a maximum of two (2) visitors per resident at any one time.
  • Visitors and GPs will be required to complete screening requirements prior to entry and wear appropriate PPE (including face mask and shield) whilst visiting. PPE is provided by Calvary.
  • All visitors MUST provide evidence of having received the COVID-19 booster vaccination or confirmation of their booking to receive the booster vaccination.
  • As a precaution to keep our residents, staff and other visitors safe, all visitors exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms must not enter the home until they complete a rapid antigen test (RAT test) with a negative result.

Our staff will continue to closely monitor all residents for symptoms of COVID-19.

We thank you for working with us over these past weeks to ensure residents continue to receive the best medical care in this challenging environment.

Sincerely,

Karen Campbell
