Construction of the Longswamp section of the Waikato Expressway is on track to start next year.

That includes:

• Producing draft tender documents in early 2016
• Securing alterations to the designations and resource consents in early 2016
• Completing land purchases by mid-2016
• Construction starting in mid-2016
