ACON and Waverley Council invite you to the community launch of the Bondi Memorial, this Saturday 4 June from 10.30am at Marks Park. Single-use plastic bags banned
Did you hear? As of yesterday, single-use plastic bags have been banned in NSW! It's expected that we'll be preventing roughly 2.7 billion pieces of litter from harming our beautiful waterways and natural environment. So what does that mean for you? We're thrilled to have received a five star greenstar rating for the Bondi Pavilion. Here are some of the sustainability features that helped us achieve this rating: - 217 solar panels on the roof
- natural light in many internal spaces
- fans and ventilation to reduce reliance on air-conditioning, using ocean breezes instead
- re-used and preserved timber floors
You'll be able to see it all for yourself when the Pavilion reopens this spring.
