Insurance Renewals

As we embark into 2023, we would like to gently remind service providers (who Carers WA has brokered services with) to please send through their insurances before the expiry date. Insurances such as Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Worker’s Compensation expire every year and renewed documentation is required for businesses to operate.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mei directly.

Mobile Planners

We would like to remind service providers that Carers WA have recently recruited a team of Mobile Planners. They are available to meet with carers to identify their goals and ensure that an appropriate support plan is prepared, implemented, and evaluated. They are able to meet carers in their home or in a community venue – e.g. library, coffee shop, park etc.

If you have clients who are not already registered with Carers WA and would like to meet face to face with one of our Mobile Planners, please email mobileplanners@carerswa.asn.au

New In-Person Peer Support Group

This month Carers WA is launching a new In-Person Peer Support Group at Hillview Multicultural Centre in Bentley.

In-person peer support provides opportunities for carers to develop self-care skills, learn from others and share their experience in a safe and supportive environment.

There are support groups running across multiple locations in Perth. To find out more, click here.

Carer Retreats

Do you know a carer who needs a break from their caring role? They could be eligible for a few days of respite in our Pembroke Court Retreat in Warnbro.

This 5-bedroom respite property, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac with uninterrupted views of the ocean, provides the perfect space to rest and recuperate. The property is available to carers registered with Carer Gateway for a nominal cost which can form part of the carer's support package.
