We have five veterinary schools with ABVP Student Representatives. The Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences at City University of Hong Kong was one of the first ABVP Student Outreach schools. Javin is our ABVP student representative in HK this year. We greatly appreciate his work. Below is Javin's report from this past school year. “Thank you for the opportunity to serve as the student representative of the ABVP Club. I gained invaluable insights and experience throughout the semester. Having
recruited 44 members this year, the ABVP Club has organized three activities in cooperation with the Veterinary Community Outreach Programme (VCOP), which is led by Dr. Teresa Lee. The second was a vaccination clinic held in collaboration with the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD). The third activity organized this semester was a carnival at Sha Kok House Estate, where we provided health check services for owners living in the housing estate at an affordable price. Working with Stewards HK, we also delivered mini talks on animal welfare and designed educational games that teach young children about canine and feline husbandry, in the hope of fostering the awareness of animal welfare. ![]() Companion Animal Pain Management Practice Fellowship (CAPMP)Mike Dutton, MS, DVM, DABVP, CE Chair Companion Animal Pain Management Practice Fellowship has a rolling enrollment and is accepting new DABVP applicants.
