Saturday Edition
Good morning, members! Now, we know for many of you, today is a big day because it’s the AFL Grand Final this afternoon. I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about AFL (I’m more of an NRL girl) but I am going to say… GOOOOO THE SYDNEY SWANS! WOOHOOO!
Sorry Geelong Cats fans. I hope you understand it’s nothing personal, but a local girl has to support her local team… Before things get too heated, I think it’s best to move onto the answer to yesterday’s riddle 😉 For those of you who need a reminder, the riddle was:
What can you hear but not see, feel, touch or taste?
The 'official' answer is your voice! But I also accepted any answers that had anything to do with 'sound', seeing all of those answers work too. Gosh, this was a good one. Well done to those of you who got this correct. There were so many of you! As always, you can find your well-deserved shout-out at the bottom of the newsletter. Thank you so much for always giving these a go, members! Keep up the awesome work.
Now, before we get stuck into today’s news, we have to give you our weekly ‘what would the grandkids say?’ This week’s word is a strange one (but let’s be honest, all of the words and phrases are a little strange). It is the word ‘snatched’. You and I know the word ‘snatched’ to mean, ‘oh don’t snatch that from me’ or ‘Jon snatched that chip from Maddie’. Well, the grandkids use ‘snatched’ quite differently. Snatched to them means attractive. So, they might use it in a sentence like ‘your makeup looks snatched today’ or ‘my goodness, isn’t your outfit looking snatched?’ Gosh, it’s hard work keeping up with the kids, but you know
what? It’s hilarious too. Let us know how you go using this in a sentence with your grandkids! We’d love to hear your stories!
One last thing before we jump into today’s news, and that’s this week’s ALDI Special Buys. There’s some great stuff on sale this weekend, but be sure to be quick, folks!
