The Inter coMPany quALity Analytics (IMPALA) Consortium’s mission is to transform the Biopharmaceutical Clinical Quality Assurance (QA) process in the Good Clinical Practice and Good Pharmacovigilance Practice areas, by using advanced analytics and promoting the adoption of this new approach and associated methodologies by key industry stakeholders (e.g. pharma quality professionals, Health Authorities) to assure safe use, therefore building patient trust, accelerating approvals and ultimately benefiting patients globally. The IMPALA Consortium provides the strategic focus for working across the Biopharmaceutical ecosystem to develop and gain industry-wide consensus for the adoption of improved QA using advanced analytics and best practices to be used across the industry; ultimately improving patient outcomes and quality care at greater efficiency and greater speed. IMPALA work products involve the following areas of focus:
Industry workshops are also being worked on. Learn more Sponsored by the Space Systems Command (SSC) under the United States Space Force (USSF), the Space Systems MOSA Interface Standards Alliance is a Government-guided collaboration with IEEE-ISTO for the development of Modular Open System Approach (MOSA) interface standards that enable interoperability at key space system interfaces. Learn more Alliance Program HighlightsWebinar Recording Now Available: “Mind the Data Sharing Gap: Navigating Sponsor Policies and Data Protection Methodologies”This webinar explores the CRDSA Technology and Innovation Work Group's data-sharing technology assessment framework and how it supports stakeholders in their evaluation of technologies and approaches that advance their data-sharing initiatives. The webinar features the framework, designed to assist
stakeholders in determining the requirements and use cases important to their organization. The resulting assessment scores can be used to compare how different technology approaches or project scopes meet organizational objectives.
Digital IF Interoperability Consortium (DIFI) Completes Successful Workshop at MILCOM 2022The Digital Transformation of SATCOM Workshop at MILCOM 2022, held November 28, 2022, was very well received with over 70 attendees. Approximately 20 posters, including demonstrations, were presented. The workshop began with a poster session and technology demonstrations showcasing digital IF and virtualization in SATCOM. The workshop ended with a panel session titled "When will the digital transformation begin breaking ground?". RQA Workshop on Data Analytics Write-Up Now AvailableThe write-up on the recent RQA Workshop on Data Analytics is now available. The workshop took place at the RQA Conference in Brighton in November 2022, and was facilitated by Jennifer Emerson (Boehringer Ingelheim), Joanne North (BMS), Paula Walker (Roche), Joanne Donald (Roche), with MHRA comments by Jason Wakelin Smith (MHRA). The objective of the workshop was to develop ideas where Data Analytics can be used in the present and in the future, across industry. The session resulted in lively discussion and wide-ranging ideas. Register for Next Month's MIPI CSI-2 Security Forum Join the co-chairs of the MIPI Security Working Group at 2 p.m. (PST), on 18 January 2023, for the MIPI CSI-2 Security Forum, in-depth look at the unique approach MIPI Alliance is undertaking to protect data streams between MIPI CSI-2®-based sensors and their related ECUs from the perspectives of authentication, integrity and confidentiality. MIPI Automotive Workshop Sessions Now On Demand All session presentations and recordings from last month's MIPI Automotive Workshop are available for developers and implementers to review key information and share these resources with colleagues. The workshop included technical sessions on MIPI A-PHY®, MIPI Automotive SerDes Solutions (MASS℠) and MIPI Alliance security efforts, presented by the leaders of the A-PHY and Security working groups. MIPI Alliance Releases Four New SpecificationsIn the fourth quarter of 2022, MIPI added a publicly available specification to its I3C portfolio, and released updated member versions of two camera-related specifications and one debug specification: ● MIPI I3C Transfer Command Response Interface (TCRI℠ ) v1.0 defines standard Transfer Command and Transfer Response structures that I3C controller implementations can use as part of an interface for any application. (Available for download without a MIPI membership.) ● MIPI A-PHY Protocol Adaptation Layer for MIPI CSI-2 (PAL℠/CSI-2®) v1.1 extends support to the latest MIPI A-PHY® (v1.1) and MIPI PAL℠/GPIO (v1.0) specifications, and adds support for new features. ● MIPI Camera Serial Interface 2 (MIPI CSI-2®) v4.0.1 includes minor editorial clarifications and replaces MIPI deprecated terms. ● MIPI System Software – Trace (SyS-T℠) v1.1 defines an additional MIPI SyS-T packet type to support sending pure binary data packets. ITEMS OF INTERESTWhat Does Metaverse Mean?We increasingly hear the term “metaverse,” but what does it really mean, and how will it be used? Some say it refers to an expanded set of digital worlds that will grow out of the digital environments with which we are already familiar, such as those used for online gaming. In this view, the metaverse will be an enhanced extended reality (XR) experience. It will offer new features and capabilities that will accelerate the digital transformation of society and enhance sustainability, by reducing the need for people to travel and perform resource-intensive activities in the physical world. Inspiring and Accelerating Open Source InnovationIEEE SA Open Offers a Free and Flexible Open Source Platform for Organizations, Developers, and Standards Projects Open source – software with source code that anyone can inspect, modify, and enhance – has changed the landscape of technology development, helping to accelerate innovation and enabling significant advancements in the way we live, work, and communicate.
