2023 McLaren Vale Gamay Rosé

McLaren Vale Rose

Originating from the Beaujolais region of Burgundy, the Gamay grape found its place in our McLaren Flat vineyards in 1984. At that time, only three such plantings were known in Australia, and to this day, Gamay remains a rarity in the region.

The fruit for our 2023 McLaren Vale Rosé was chilled and spent extended time on skins before fermentation. This process ensures a balanced wine, with full flavor and texture. Our 2023 Rosé has a delightful array of classic Gamay characteristics, including strawberries and cherries, accented by subtle hints of crisp apples. Vibrant acidity lends a refreshing, clean palate, while a gentle sweetness lingers on the finish.
