NEWS UPDATE

17 April 2026

Publishers note

This was a particularly hard eNews to bring to completion this week. The volume of news arriving meant we needed to keep coming back to refine and update it so that stories could reach our readers in a timely manner.

Even so, there is still a healthy pipeline of stories being worked on, and we look forward to sharing those with you over the coming days. As always, these stories will appear on the Marine Business News news site as each one is completed, and they will also be included in our weekly eNews wrap-up the following Friday.

Needless to say, a significant amount of the news currently coming in is from exhibitors at Sanctuary Cove, outlining what they will be doing at the show. That is encouraging for the industry. Despite the rolling thunder of fast-moving, and at times bewildering political and global news arriving by the hour, our sector continues to show resilience and confidence in its future.

That said, this week’s news is certainly not only about Sanctuary Cove. We also have a good mix of stories covering industry activity closer to home, along with updates and developments from overseas.

It would also be remiss of me not to mention that we have kept the booking links for ASMEX and Marinas26 below for those still planning their attendance.

Finally, our very best wishes go to Craig Evans CMM, whose last day at Fremantle Sailing Club is today.

We do hope you enjoy this week’s news.
