Monday Edition
Happy Monday, dearest members! Just like that, it’s the first Monday of April! No, I (Jarred) don’t mean our editor (April) — I’m talking about the month. 😉 There’s always something to be said about the first days of every month, as if the feeling of new beginnings and starting over anew is more heightened. For April, this means that there are 27 more days to get back up and take on the world, and if you ask me, today’s as great a day as any.
Of course, the Easter long weekend is also staring us all in the face, and by the looks of it, some of you have plans to go out, while others (like me) are probably staying in and getting some much-needed rest. We’re also enjoying the feedback on your plans and traditions for Easter, so if you’re in the mood to share, feel free to post on our forum here and get chatting with other lovely members about the long weekend!
Now, I’ve talked about the month’s first Monday, and next, I’ll be giving you April’s first riddle…
In a certain city, 5% of all the persons in town have unlisted phone numbers. If you select 100 names at random from that city's phone directory, how many people selected will have unlisted phone numbers?
Oh, I am so excited about this one! I’m sure it’ll give you quite the brain workout, as I experienced. I’ve been saying past riddles have stumped me, and most of you breezed through them so effortlessly to the point where I’m asking myself, ‘Is it just me?’ To which I also respond: ‘Yes, it’s just you.’ Anyway, if you know the answer to this riddle, post it on the forum here, dear members! You
know the deal: if you get the answer correct, you’ll earn yourself a shout-out in tomorrow’s newsletter!
All of you also know about the newest treat in town just for you members: SDC Bingo! If you're up for it, please read Jonathan's instructions
first. Today's numbers are N35, B4, N41, N44, N32 and N38 (sorry about yesterday, Jonathan forgot to put the numbers in - whoops). Remember that you need an account on the forum to join, so if you don't have one already, register

Now, let’s find out what’s happening across the world and around Australia today:
-
‘It’s the DUMBEST idea they’ve ever had.’ Some Kmart shoppers aren’t pleased with the store's latest change. What’s going on? And how will this affect you?
-
Over at Coles, another shopper took the retail giant to task with a gripe many of YOU are familiar with. ‘It’s just before six o’clock at night at Coles, and as usual…’
-
Certain products causing ‘horrific pain and suffering’ will be seeing the last of their days at Bunnings after the beloved store announced their phase out. Is this a step in the right direction, or an overreaction?
-
An eagle-eyed shopper spotted something amiss on a pair of underwear at Kmart that had him do a double-take. Is Kmart pulling a fast one on its customers?
-
Bunnings is an iconic fixture of Australian daily living, so much so that some take their love for it to new heights. On that note, have you heard of one kid’s Bunnings-themed birthday party? It looks like it was a hoot!
-
It’s amazing when hard work pays off. Ask this mum who scored not one, not 10, but 72 FREE flights from Jetstar! What bizarre thing did she do to get such a prize?
-
‘The dust actually turned to sludge…’ A mum who hadn’t cleaned her air conditioning in ages shared how she made it spotless using
a $5 Woolworths find. Don’t miss this one!
-
A Kmart shopper was the talk of the town when her party purchase left much to be desired. Is it Kmart’s fault, or is it really just hard to buy things online?
-
A driver has caused a stir online after he was fined for an offence that can cost up to $1,000 in parts of Australia. The catch? It was over something the majority of Aussies do.
-
Oh no! An affordable and beloved supermarket buy has broken shoppers’ hearts when they found out that it had been discontinued. ‘Please bring back this great product.’
-
How well do you know Woolworths’ logo? Customers online have been discussing the retail giant’s iconic green symbol after some pointed out a detail that’s quite easy to miss…
-
Have you ever wondered why certain healthy food items at the supermarket tend to be pricier than their ‘not-so-healthy’ counterparts? Well, a food expert called it out, and here’s the reason why.
-
Take a look and enjoy this simple recipe for what are called the world’s smallest dumplings, which you can do in 30 minutes — just right for a quick lunch or dinner meal!
