Harry's Cafe de Wheels is an institution in Sydney and over the years has become quite a tourist attraction. It was set up by Harry ‘Tiger’ Edwards as a pie cart near the northern wharf end of Cowper Wharf Rd, Potts Point, to provide hot snacks for the Navy sailors. Harry wasn't there for long before he joined the Army and was injured during WW2. When he came back he re-opened his little caravan and it soon became a tradition, a ‘must visit’ for the sailors and Harry did very well indeed. Harry operated the caravan for a further 30 years before selling the business to Alex Kuronya in 1975. Harry's first pie cart (pictured above) is now at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney!

Universal donors are those with an O negative blood type. Why? O negative blood can be used in transfusions for any blood type. Type O is routinely in short supply and in high demand by hospitals – both because it is the most common blood type and because type O negative blood is the universal blood type needed for emergency transfusions and for immune deficient infants.
