The Balwyn Community Garden has a few plots available for lease — and we’d love to welcome you! Tucked away behind the Function Centre, our garden is a quiet sanctuary away from the bustle of Whitehorse Rd. With 35 plots of various sizes (including some raised beds for easy access), it’s the perfect spot for green thumbs of all ages — individuals, couples, and families alike. Our garden community is friendly and cooperative — members often share produce, seeds, cuttings, and tips, and join forces during regular working bees to help maintain the space. ![]() How to Live at Home LongerWith so many changes in the aged care and home help sector, now is the perfect time to get up to date. This 40-minute session, delivered by Latrobe Community Health Service, is designed for people aged 65 and over who want to learn how to access government-funded programs that can help them continue living comfortably at home. You’ll hear from a guest speaker, receive a handy take-home pack, and get clear, easy-to-understand guidance on navigating the 'My Aged Care' system.
