Northbrook Police Begins Fourth of July Traffic Safety Campaign

As summer celebrations approach, the Northbrook Police Department is stepping up traffic enforcement to help keep our roads safe. A special campaign targeting impaired driving and speeding will run June 20 through July 7, covering the busy Independence Day holiday period. Additional enforcement focused on speeding will continue through August 1.

In coordination with the Illinois State Police and more than 200 agencies statewide, officers will be out in greater numbers, watching for drivers under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or other impairing substances, and ensuring that speed limits are followed.
