Project Update
December 2024

As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping you informed about the Scone CBD Revitalisation Project, we’d like to share the latest updates and plans for the remaining works.

The road through the CBD is now open!

While most of the major works have been completed, there are a few finishing touches to carry us through to the New Year, including:

  • Landscaping works.

  • Sealing around paver bands and plaques.
  • Minor defect rectifications.

In addition, CCTV installation works are underway across Blocks 1 to 3 (Kingdon to Susan Streets), scheduled for Monday, 9 December to Wednesday, 11 December. Kelly Street will remain open, though some parking spaces may be affected, and traffic control will be in place.

Looking Ahead

While this phase of the project is nearing completion, there is still more to be done. Council is actively pursuing further funding to deliver additional works, including installation of a new roundabout at Susan Street. However, these works cannot proceed until the road is handed over to Council from the State Government.

Thank you for your patience and ongoing support as we continue to improve Scone’s CBD. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
