We’re excited to open the year by inviting you to join our upcoming activities—and to bring Adamah NY educators into your institutions to lead meaningful, values-driven programs. In just two weeks, we’ll celebrate Tu B’Shvat, the Jewish New Year of the Trees. Arriving each winter, this holiday offers a quiet yet powerful reminder of our deepest values. At a time when the ground is still frozen and the days are only beginning to lengthen, we honor the resilience of trees—their capacity to endure, regenerate, and sustain life even in moments of dormancy. Tu B’Shvat invites us to turn our attention to the natural world with gratitude, humility, and hope. Jewish tradition offers rich imagery for our relationship to the earth. The Torah teaches, “Ki ha’adam etz ha’sadeh”—a person is like a tree of the field. Like trees, we are shaped by our roots: the communities that ground us, the traditions that nourish us, and the land that sustains us. And Tu B’Shvat asks us to go one step further—transforming reflection into responsibility, and gratitude into collective action. It calls us not only to admire the trees, but to care for the systems that allow them, and us, to thrive. We’re grateful to be growing this work together—rooted in tradition, and reaching toward a more just and livable future. With gratitude and hope,
