We were thrilled this week to unveil the second iteration of our ‘Drive the Dream’ road trips campaign featuring WA’s very own Daniel Ricciardo and his best mate Blake. This time the charismatic duo venture to Australia’s South West and sample wines in the lauded Margaret River Region, go mountain bike riding in Collie, and trek along the iconic Cape to Cape track. The pair also immerse themselves in thousands of years of Aboriginal culture and descend into the region’s otherworldly Ngilgi Cave. A visually stunning and
enticing campaign targeted at the interstate and Singapore markets, the international launch has been strategically timed to go live ahead of Singapore’s Formula 1 Grand Prix this weekend. Rolling out in WA’s other key international markets over the coming 12 months, the campaign will motivate high-yield travellers to book their own road trip adventure, with the hero short film supported by a range of assets including out-of-home, social and display advertising. Check out the film here. And the major marketing launches continue, as this week we also unveiled our upcoming interstate marketing blitz to 200 tourism operators and industry partners, as part of our latest Industry Update at Optus Stadium. The ‘Western Australia Dream Sale’ is a $3.5 million east coast-targeted marketing push with a strong tactical focus to drive conversions. The program, which launches in late October, includes discounted airfares, special offers and a partnership with Helloworld Travel. WA tourism businesses are invited to upload their own special deals through their Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing and have
them featured within the sale. I encourage all WA tourism businesses to take this unique opportunity to elevate their business at a national level and drive direct bookings from consumers. Refer to the Industry Toolkit for more information on how to make the most of this compelling initiative. Warm regards,
