It's Time for Spring Cleanups
|
|
What a winter we’ve had! Now that spring is here, it’s a great time to breathe new life into your lawn after the challenges of the colder months. Even if you’ve been cozy indoors, nature has been busy outside, and now it’s time to get your outdoor spaces ready for a colorful spring.
Even with fall cleanup, winter winds, snow, and rain can leave a layer of leaves and debris that needs attention. Those leaves might have settled into nooks and crannies, and with the freezing and thawing, it’s understandable that things can get a bit muddy. All of this buildup can make your yard look a little rough and can hold back new growth come spring, especially with fallen branches and other debris around.

To help create a welcoming spring atmosphere, start by giving your lawn and flower beds a nice cleaning. Just remember to be gentle when raking and dethatching so you don’t disturb the new grass coming through. Dethatching is best done in the fall, allowing fresh spring growth to really take off.
If you’ve done any spring seeding, we’d love to hear about it! This information is super helpful for managing those pesky annual weeds like crabgrass. Pre-emergent herbicides can help prevent weed growth, but they can also prevent new grass seeds from sprouting. By keeping us in the loop, we can tailor our service schedule to your needs. Let’s make this spring your best one yet!

Great News About Grub Control – We Are Now Using Acelepryn
|
|
While many lawn care companies continue to rely on Merit for white grub control, we've opted for a superior solution – Acelepryn.
Here are some compelling reasons why we decided to use Acelepryn:
- Long-lasting and Effective: Acelepryn outperforms Merit in both duration and effectiveness, ensuring your lawn stays healthy and protected.
- Environmentally Responsible: It is classified as a reduced-risk pesticide by the EPA, so you can rest easy, knowing you’re making a safer choice.
- Family and Pet Friendly: Acelepryn is completely safe for mammals, meaning it's safe for you, your children, and your beloved pets.
- Bee Safe: We care about the ecosystem. Acelepryn is safe for bees, helping to protect our vital pollinators.
- Earthworm Friendly: Our choice of product also supports the health of earthworms, crucial for maintaining balanced soil health.
- No Neonicotinoids: Acelepryn is free from neonicotinoids, making it a more environmentally conscious option.
Finally, this product does not need to be watered in.
As responsible stewards of the environment, we believe it’s our duty to use safer products when they’re available.

Just a Heads-Up for This Season
|
|
A quick heads-up about our six-week service cycle: We schedule some visits at the beginning and others toward the end, so if you're getting close to the end of the cycle, don't worry! That's totally normal and nothing to be concerned about.
As we move into spring, you might notice that grass growth is a bit slower due to the cooler soil temperatures. However, here’s some good news: April and May are perfect months to fertilize your lawn! After your first treatment, we’ll come back to your property every six to seven weeks. We use a top-quality slow-release fertilizer with 60, 90, and 120 day formulas – it's considered the best in the industry. Some folks use liquid fertilizer in March, but it’s not very effective, because the grass can’t absorb it yet, so it just goes to waste.

|
Weeds can be a real hassle, but you can feel reassured that we’ve got the know-how to tackle them effectively! We take pride in managing all types of weeds, including those pesky violets and nutsedge. During our visits, we’ll address any weed issues on your property. If you notice any weeds popping up between visits, just give us a shout! We’re committed to responding within 48 hours to help you out, and we’ll do it at no extra cost.
We're looking forward to helping you achieve a beautiful lawn as always!
