Happy Monday, dearest members! I (Jarred) can’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment as we find ourselves at the halfway mark of 2023. We want to take a moment to congratulate you all for your determination despite the battles you may have been facing. Here’s to you, amazing members, and to the unwavering spirit that binds us together!
At the start of the year, we asked what you thought would happen in the next 12 months in a Bingo-inspired game. Well, we’ve got one down so far! Can you guess what it is? And what else do you think we could possibly be in for this year? Let us know what you think here! Now, it’s time for the first riddle of the week! We have this simple yet tricky one:
If life gets tough, what do you have that you can always count on?
Not my maths skills, that’s for sure! If you think you know what the answer is, head here to post it! As always, if you get it correct, your username will be included in a much-deserved shout-out in tomorrow’s newsletter. Happy riddling, folks!
So, what’s happening in Australia and around the world today?
-
This one’s a bit on the creepy side, folks. Aussies are being warned about a scam known to target local communities, and it takes place right at YOUR doorstep. ‘Call the police!’
-
A Coles shopper’s viral tip to score FREE meat—even at ALDI and Woolies—made rounds. While some appreciate
it, others say it’s ‘cheap and dodgy’. What do you think?
-
The cost-of-living crisis has forced changes upon many, including parting with prized family heirlooms to make ends meet. What are YOU doing with
your antiques?
-
Speaking of making extra cash, there’s a secret stash worth an estimated $5.7 billion in total hiding in Aussie homes—and you could have a share of it in yours too!
-
A Kmart shopper gave her front porch a stunning new look with just an item that costs $29. Talk about creativity and affordable
design!
-
ALDI shoppers are raving about this delicious twist to a ‘perfect’ $1.99 lunch buy. Will you try it too? 'They taste amazing.'
-
‘This isn't living, it's surviving.’ Over half of vulnerable Aussies aren’t able to pay their monthly dues, according to a poll... Unfortunately, that’s not all.
-
Aussies are also turning to generic brands to save as much as possible: ‘It's just too expensive now to buy...’
-
Heads up, travellers! An Aussie was denied entry to Bali over a tiny passport detail YOU could also unknowingly have… Better safe than sorry, members!
-
Diners have been split over a restaurant’s unusual requirement. Have you seen anything like this before? We certainly haven’t…
-
Shoppers are loving a $35 BIG W winter essential great for dealing with an annoying issue at home. Will you be giving it a go?
-
Lawmakers want to ban online gambling ads within three years as part of anti-addiction measures. Are Aussies really the 'biggest losers in the world' when it comes to this social scourge?
-
Up for a taste of the Mediterranean? Indulge in a delicious blend of flavours with this easy mouth-watering pasta recipe!
