"Welcome to the June edition of the Mac.Rob newsletter!"

Winter is here again and it is hard to believe we are already halfway through the year! This month has seen us ‘pivot’ once again as another Victorian lockdown was put in place, but we are very adept at adjusting to whatever comes our way, and our transition to and from online learning was once again extremely smooth. I continue to be most grateful for the way our staff and students remain focussed on their work regardless of circumstances; it is a real testament to our community’s commitment to doing our very best for our students.

As you’ll see in our Compass weekly wrap ups, social media platforms, and students’ updates, wherever possible our events and programs remain, albeit sometimes in a new format, so that we honour the traditions, activities and fun that are the hallmarks of our school. ...

Girl Power in Engineering & IT

Year 10 student, Cherry, reports on participating in the University of Melbourne's 'Girl Power in Engineering and IT' Program, which aims to raise awareness of these fields among young women: "I am very pleased to share that I have been selected to participate in the ‘Girl Power in Engineering and IT’ initiative run by the University of Melbourne. This four-year long, fully-funded program is a way for high school girls to learn more about engineering and information technology pathways directly from leading professionals in the field ... "

Music At Mac.Rob: Winter Concert

Please join us for the annual Winter Concert, a highlight of the Mac.Rob musical calendar. Students from Mac.Rob and MHS will perform at this gala event, held in the world-renowned Melbourne Recital Centre. Tickets for this event will go on sale early in Term 3. Palladians In Pink - Pink Pledge & Webinar

GO PINK with the Palladians Association this June! As part of the National Breast Cancer Foundation's GO PINK Pledge, 'Palladians in Pink' are aiming to raise awareness and funds in support for those who have been - and will be - impacted by breast cancer. They’re also holding a free webinar with breast cancer specialists on Saturday, June 26th, 7pm-8pm, that our Mac.Rob community are welcome to attend.
