Sunday Edition
Gooooood Morning Members! We hope you're enjoying your Sunday morning so far? We're kicking off today's edition of the newsletter with our favourite segment, the SDC quote of the week! This week's quote is from the one and only Albert Einstein.
"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning."
We love this quote so much because it is a reminder that we should never stop learning. It doesn’t matter how old you are, what your circumstance is, or what your story is, you can learn something new every day. Whether that be a fun fact, something about a loved one or a friend, learning from an experience etc. Life is about learning, growing, and enjoying those moments. The moment we stop learning and growing, we lose ourselves. So never stop questioning, never stop learning, and never stop growing. We hope we’ll always be here to help you with at least one of those things, even if that’s just learning about a good deal, a funny joke, some interesting news, or a good riddle.
Not a bad quote to end the week on, eh?
Now, let’s take a look at some big stories from across Australia and around the world this week…
-
This week, Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and IGA gave us some fantastic deals, including Arnott’s Obsession Chocolate Biscuits, Chicken Sandwich Schnitzels (Yum!), and some travel essentials. You can
still get these deals today!

Our Kiwi mates are apparently obsessed with one $3.50 Australian item exclusively available at Coles.
-
Shoppers went nuts over a stylish new $40 puffer jacket that looks exactly like the trendy $400 North Face version.
-
We were also made aware of two convincing new scams, one Aldi TV scam and the other disguised as a COVID-19 text from Medicare. Please keep an eye out for these scams, members!
-
A frugal mum wowed hundreds of people with her incredible haul of heavily discounted chicken and steak from Coles, including whole chickens for less than $1.
-
Aldi shoppers were left in stitches after one shopper discovered an X-rated special buy.
-
Shoppers rushed to their local Coles to get their hands on the newly released Cadbury block, which received a solid "10 out of 10" rating from one reviewer.
-
An expert massage therapist weighed in on the ‘wrist-rubbing’ trend that is currently sweeping the globe.
-
We also learnt of a handy tip for cleaning those filthy tracks for your sliding doors, and it is going to change your life…
-
Woolworths is now turning unsold loaves of bread into a popular dinner table staple, with customers hailing it as a "brilliant" idea.
-
And finally, Coles released a new spread that combines two of our favourite treats for only $3.50!
And that’s a wrap of the week that was members! Quite a few things happened this week, especially with scams! Please stay on the lookout for the latest COVID scam that we talked about above. This one is horrific and we don’t want any of our members to fall victim to it! After you check out the scam article, please enjoy the rest of the newsletter because there is so much good stuff below including a gorgeous picture of the day thanks to member @Valentine and a cracker of a granddad joke by member @Rest1953.
Oh! And don't forget to check out today's OzWord, our 'Last Two Letters' game, our Sudoku puzzles, and our 'The -ing Game' for some fun brain training.
And last but not least, don't forget to enter our 'Nostalgia Competition'! All you have to do to enter is simply tell us your most cherished memory from the Australia you
grew up in for your chance to win a $100 gift voucher to Coles, Woolies, Aldi or IGA!
